Complete guide to using the Summix GetMD WordPress plugin for Markdown exports.
Installation
After activating the plugin through the standard WordPress plugin installation process, access GetMD via Tools → Markdown Export.
- Go to Plugins → Add New in your WordPress admin
- Search for "Summix GetMD"
- Click Install Now and then Activate
- Navigate to Tools → Markdown Export
Core Features
Content Export Options

Export History Management
The plugin maintains previous exports with timestamps, allowing you to re-download any previous export and delete old files to recover storage space.

The plugin exports to CommonMark format, preserving:
- Heading hierarchies (H1-H6)

File organization differs by export type: single exports use chronological organization with metadata headers; multiple-file exports create individual documents named by post slug.
